Just a quick one tonight.
Went in to Settle to collect my bike after it’s repair, chain ring is now behaving as it should. I was told that it was indeed a loose lock nut, but the bike shop has neither the tool to remove the cranks (so I can access it myself) nor the tool to tighten the lock nut. After cycling home and putting my battery on charge for a short while, I went to a different bike shop. Escape Cycles which is beyond Ingleton it’s my local Haibike dealer, and man I wish I could afford an AllMountain… he had two of the 2025 bikes in stock and had I the money I’d have ridden off with one of them quite happily. He also had a Marin squishy, which again I’d have bought (though not an e-bike) and some of the Amflows, also very nice.
Nice shop all round, he did have a crank puller for my bike and was I suspect somewhat cheaper – tool wise – than 3 Peaks in Settle. If I were a rich person I’d already have most of the stuff I wanted that I saw today, but had I not and was… I’d have left considerably poorer.
Then I rode home, all in all ~25mi total today, and my battery was pretty flat by the time I got home. Did some washing and decided that I couldn’t be bothered eating any food – I’m hungry now but will wait till tomorrow now. Going to go and sort out cats and have a shower then I’m for bed.
Not achieved very much today if you don’t count watching dozens of YouTube shorts… I don’t. But if I get to bed soon I should wake up around 4-5am and while my bread is rising I can get some writing done then. 😀
